Cars that know too much about you – Le Temps

Connected cars know too much about us, and that’s no surprise.

Mozilla proved this with its report last September. However, what would happen if these cars were manufactured in a potentially hostile country, where the government could exercise control over its industries?

This is the concern raised by Washington about the new connected vehicles from China.

The risks of espionage and sabotage are technically quite conceivable, especially as Beijing has already expressed such intentions in the past.

Whether this is a question of economic protectionism or national security remains to be seen… it’s hard to say…
