Manage your passwords on your phone – Le Temps

Apple has launched a dedicated password management app with iOS 18, offering a simplified interface for storing and sharing credentials, including Wi-Fi network passwords, validation codes and passkeys.

We applaud this innovation for its potential to improve digital security for everyone, and for being free and easy to access. Although its functionalities remain very basic, unlike LastPass or 1Password, which offer more comprehensive and, above all, advanced features, the “Password” application for IPhone is above all a way of raising users’ awareness of the security of their passwords.

It’s a basic rule of cyber hygiene, but one that’s still not widely implemented.
