In 2024, UAE is facing an alarming reality: cyber-attacks are increasingly impacting businesses and causing downstream repercussions on local communities and quality of life. This problem is even truer in UAE, with a massive 250% year-on-year increase in cyber-attacks in the country, generating a veritable “cyberpandemic”. With the aim of breaking this vicious circle, ZENDATA Cybersecurity embarked on a major project: the creation of the world’s first cyber security museum: The Shield.
What we did
- The ideas and reasoning behind the very concept of the Shield Museum were developed by our team over several months of reflection
- ZENDATA collaborated closely with stakeholders to align the museum’s vision with the Emirati government’s cultural and educational goals
- ZENDATA acted as the project manager, traveling on-site to meticulously oversee the design and planning phases of the project, ensuring no detail was overlooked. As a strategic partner, ZENDATA ensured the project was delivered on time and to the highest standards, acting as a bridge between vision and execution
- The various galleries, covering history, current challenges, and future trends, were conceptualized by ZENDATA
- Beyond a physical museum, ZENDATA aimed to develop a museum that could also be virtually visited through an educational game including AR and VR
- Educational content was carefully structured by ZENDATA to cater to both general audiences and technical experts, ensuring accessibility and depth
Outcomes
The Shield Museum redefines cybersecurity education by combining cutting-edge AR and VR technology with expertly designed galleries that explore the past, present, and future of cybersecurity. It engages visitors through interactive learning while creating a global environment for expert collaboration and innovation. Developed in partnership with the Emirati government, this major project emphasizes the critical role of educating the population through constantly innovative approaches.
Conclusion
ZENDATA designed and delivered the Shield Museum, combining visionary concepts, cutting-edge technology, and expert project management to create a groundbreaking space for cybersecurity education and innovation.
